Learn how to use AI to write your caption using frik.io.
Step 1: Open the composer
Click Create Post and pick the accounts you want to post to under Post to.
Step 2: Open the AI panel
Above the caption box, click the AI button (with the sparkle icon). The AI assistant panel opens below your caption.
Step 3: Describe your post
On the Generate tab, type what your post is about in the topic box — for example, "our summer sale ends Friday."
Step 4: Pick a tone and voice
Choose a Tone (like Casual, Professional, or Witty). Under voice, pick Brand voice to make the caption sound like your brand, if you've set one up.
Step 5: Generate the caption
Click Generate caption. The AI writes a caption for you in a moment. Don't love it? Click again for a fresh version.
Step 6: Apply it and add hashtags
Click Apply to editor to drop the caption into your post. Want hashtags too? Switch to the Hashtags tab, click Generate hashtags, then click Append to caption.
You're Done
Your AI-written caption is now in the composer. Edit it however you like, then publish or schedule your post as normal.
Troubleshooting
- The AI panel says it's unavailable: AI features may be off for your plan, or the service is temporarily down. Try again later.
- "Out of credits": each generation uses one AI credit, and they reset monthly. Wait for the reset or upgrade your plan for more.
- Generate is greyed out: type a topic first — the button turns on once there's something to work with.
- The caption doesn't sound like us: choose Brand voice and set up your Brand Kit so the AI matches your style.
