Step 1: Open the composer

Click Create Post in the sidebar.

Step 2: Select every network you want

Under Post to, click the account chip for each profile you want to include. You can pick as many as you like — a checkmark appears on each selected chip. To start over, click Clear all.

Step 3: Write one caption for everyone

Type your caption on the Shared tab. This same message goes to every network you selected.

Step 4: Tweak a single network (optional)

Want a different caption for just one network? Click that network's own tab (next to Shared) and type there. Whatever you write on a network's tab replaces the shared caption for that network only — everything else keeps the shared caption. This is called a per-network override.

Step 5: Add media and publish

Add a photo or video if you want, then choose Publish Now or Schedule for later in the Publishing box and click the button at the bottom.

You're Done

Your post goes out to all the networks you picked. Each one gets the shared caption, unless you gave it its own version on its tab.

Troubleshooting

  • "Caption too long": one network has a shorter limit than the others (for example, X allows fewer characters). Shorten the caption, or give that network its own shorter version on its tab.
  • A network needs media: some networks (like Instagram) require a photo or video. Add one before posting.
  • One network shows a warning triangle: open that network's tab to fix the flagged issue.
  • Related: to learn more about giving each network its own caption, hashtags, or first comment, see the Platform-Specific Content (Per-Network Overrides) guide.
