frik.io connects to social networks via OAuth — you never share your password, and you can revoke access at any time from the platform or from your frik.io settings.
Step 1 — Go to Social Accounts
In the sidebar, click Social Accounts. You'll see a grid of supported platforms. Free plans support up to 4 connected accounts; paid plans unlock more.
Step 2 — Click Connect
Find the network you want and click Connect. A browser window will open on the platform's official login page. Log in and approve the requested permissions.
What permissions does frik.io request?
Only what's needed to publish and read analytics. frik.io never requests the ability to change your password or access your direct messages unless you explicitly enable the Inbox feature.
Step 3 — Confirm the Connection
Once you approve, the window closes and your account appears in the list with a green Connected badge. If you see an orange Needs Attention badge instead, the connection expired — click Reconnect to refresh it.
Connection Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✅ Connected | Token is valid; posts will publish normally |
| ⚠️ Expiring soon | Token will expire in < 7 days; reconnect now to avoid gaps |
| 🔴 Expired | Token has expired; posts will fail until you reconnect |
| ⏳ Needs setup | Some platforms (Google Business) require an extra step after OAuth |
Troubleshooting
- "Permission denied" error: Make sure you're logging in as the account owner, not a personal account that was granted page access.
- Google Business says "Needs setup": After connecting your Google account, you need to select which Business Profile location to link.
- Pinterest / TikTok redirect errors: These platforms require the app to be in allowlist mode. If you see an error, contact support.
Next Steps
Once connected, head to the Composer to create your first post, or check the Calendar if you're importing existing content.
