Create & Schedule Your First Post

Open the Composer, write a caption, pick your networks, set a date and time, and hit Schedule.

Scheduling a post takes under two minutes once your social accounts are connected.

Step 1 — Open the Composer

Click Create Post in the sidebar, or press the blue + button from any page.

Step 2 — Select Your Networks

At the top of the Composer, click the profile pictures of the accounts you want to target. You can select multiple networks at once — the Composer will show you a live preview for each.

Step 3 — Write Your Caption

Type your caption in the main text area. The character counter updates in real time to show limits for each selected network (e.g. 280 characters for X, 2,200 for Instagram).

Per-Network Overrides

If you want a different caption or hashtags on a specific network, click the Customize for [Network] tab at the bottom of the preview. Anything you write there overrides the main caption for that network only.

Step 4 — Add Media

Drag and drop images or video, or click Add Media to pick from your Media Library. frik.io validates dimensions and file sizes before upload.

Step 5 — Schedule

Click Schedule in the bottom toolbar. Pick a date and time. The time zone shown is your workspace's configured time zone (changeable in Settings).

Alternatively, click Add to Queue to drop it at the next available slot in your posting queue, or Publish Now to post immediately.

After Scheduling

Your post appears on the Calendar and in the Posts list. If publishing fails for any reason, frik.io retries automatically and notifies you via the red banner at the top of the app.

Tips

  • Use Best Time to Post (Creator+ plans) to let frik.io suggest the optimal slot based on your historical engagement data.
  • Use per-network first comment to add hashtags to Instagram in the first comment instead of the caption, keeping captions clean.
