Connect & Publish to LinkedIn

Connect your LinkedIn personal profile (and, where approved, company Pages) and publish updates.

LinkedIn connects via OAuth using OpenID Connect. frik.io always connects your personal profile and, when LinkedIn has approved organization access for the app, your company Pages too.

How to Connect

  1. Open Social Accounts and click the LinkedIn tile.
  2. Sign in to LinkedIn and approve access.
  3. Your personal profile connects immediately. If organization access is granted, admin Pages you manage are detected and offered as additional accounts.

Permissions Requested

  • openid / profile / email — identity
  • w_member_social — publish posts as you (your personal profile)
  • r_organization_social / w_organization_social — list and post to company Pages (only once LinkedIn approves the app's Community Management API access)

Personal vs Company Pages

  • Personal profile posting works out of the box with w_member_social.
  • Company Page posting requires LinkedIn to have approved organization scopes. If they aren't active yet, frik.io gracefully falls back to member-only scopes and connects your personal profile — it will not fail the whole login. When org access is available and you're an administrator of a Page, that Page appears as a connectable account (internally posts route to org:<id>).

Publishing Specifics

Compose text or media posts and select LinkedIn like any other network. Use a per-network override to tailor the tone for a professional audience.

Reconnecting & Disconnecting

Click Reconnect to refresh an expired token or to pick up newly granted organization access. Disconnect via ⋯ → Disconnect.

Troubleshooting

  • My company Page isn't listed: organization scopes may not be active for the app yet, or you're not an administrator of that Page. frik.io connects your personal profile in the meantime; reconnect once org access is available.
  • Authorization failed with a scope error: frik.io automatically retries with member-only scopes so you still get connected as your personal profile.
