Learn how to disconnect a social account using frik.io.
Step 1: Open Social Accounts
Click Social Accounts in the sidebar.
Step 2: Find the account
Locate the card for the account you want to remove.
Step 3: Click the red unplug icon
On the account's card, click the red unplug icon. To prevent accidents, the button asks you to click again to confirm.
Step 4: Choose what to remove (if asked)
If the same account is used in more than one workspace, a dialog appears with two choices: Remove from this workspace (keeps it working in your other workspaces) or Disconnect everywhere (removes it completely). If it has scheduled posts, the dialog warns you they'll fail.
Step 5: Confirm
Click your choice. The account disappears from the list.
You're Done
The account is no longer connected here. Important: any posts you had scheduled to that account will now fail, because there's nothing to publish them to. Reconnect the account or delete those scheduled posts to keep things tidy.
Troubleshooting
- I got a warning about scheduled posts: those posts will fail once the account is gone. Reschedule them to another account, or delete them on the Calendar.
- The icon is a padlock, not an unplug: a teammate connected this account, so only they can disconnect it.
- I only wanted to remove it from one brand: choose Remove from this workspace in the dialog — it stays connected in your other workspaces.
- I changed my mind: just connect the account again from the platform grid.
