Learn how to reconnect a social account that has expired using frik.io.
Step 1: Open Social Accounts
Click Social Accounts in the sidebar.
Step 2: Spot the account that needs attention
An expired account has an amber card and says Needs reconnection. You may also see a warning like "Token expired — reconnect to keep posting."
Step 3: Click Reconnect
On that account's card, click the amber Reconnect button.
Step 4: Approve on the platform
You'll be sent to the network's login page. Sign in and approve access. For Facebook and Instagram, keep every permission box ticked. When you're done, you return to frik.io automatically.
Step 5: Confirm it's healthy
Back on the Social Accounts page, the amber warning disappears and the card shows the account as connected again.
You're Done
Your account is reconnected. Any scheduled posts to it will now publish normally again.
Troubleshooting
- It went straight back to needs reconnection: on Facebook or Instagram, make sure you didn't untick the publishing permission — reconnect again and keep every box checked.
- "Connection expired" message: the token can't be refreshed in place; click Reconnect to run the full login again.
- Google Business asks for a location: after reconnecting, pick your business location again to finish setup.
- Reconnect button is a padlock: a teammate owns that connection, so they need to reconnect it.
